Character study for Capt. Quirke of the good ship "Frowsty Dolphin". This is primarily a thumbnail page in which I work out the underlying shapes that make up the overall form of the character. From here I'd choose the shape that best expresses the character's personality. In this case I dug the sketch in the upper middle and started to render him here rather than moving on to an intermediate sketch page. I did that later, however, and will post that one too.
